Dojo Policies
At Ceberano Martial Arts Academy our students learn respect for self and others, discipline, and confidence.
The policies we have developed are aimed directly at achieving this and our students are expected to be familiar with these guidelines and act accordingly.

Dojo Kun
We the students of I.G.K. do aspire to these Virtues:
- We are proud to study the way of Goju
- We are courteous in manner
- We strive to develop courage and fighting spirit
- We cultivate fellowship and understanding
- We respect the ideals of loyalty and honour traditional from olden times in Okinawa and Japan.

Rules and Regulations
- No one will be refused membership on the grounds of sex, race or creed.
- All students must bow to any dojo (Judo, Aikido, Kendo, etc.) front when entering or leaving that dojo.
- All students must behave in an orderly and respectable manner. Insolent and arrogant behaviour will not be tolerated.
- No smoking or eating in the dojo.
- No jewellery is to be worn during training.
- Students are to leave the dojo in a quiet and orderly fashion so as not to disturb the neighbours.
- Any student behaving in a manner likely to bring the dojo or its members into disrepute will become liable to expulsion and forfeiture of any fees already paid.
- The authority of the instructors will be recognised and respected at all times during training sessions.
- Late arrivals must obtain permission to train by proper execution of formalities.
- Training Fees, Membership Fees and Grading Fees must be paid promptly when due.

Formalities
- All shoes must be removed before entering the training area.
- Bowing in or out as a ceremony is done before starting and at the ending of a session.
- Before or during class, the formal gesture to senior students or black belts is a bow
and greeting with the sound of OOSS!!
- When arriving late to class a student should attract the attention of the Senior
Instructor by saying "Good Evening Sensai". He will be acknowledged
by the Instructor saying OOSS, and the student will then perform the
bowing-in ceremony to the front of the dojo.
- Your instructor
should be addressed as:
Sempai - up to 2nd Dan Black Belt
Sensai - 3rd Dan Instructor
Renshi - 4th Dan Instructor
Shihan - 5th Dan Instructor
Kyoshi - Chief Instructor
- Never lean on the walls, stand with your hands on your hips, or have your arms folded
during a class. This shows disrespect to your instructor. When being
corrected by an instructor always acknowledge with "HAI"
meaning yes I understand.
